Wiegand, a business based in Rasdorf, Germany, is known for its toboggan runs, slides for children and special events, and water slides, provided all around the world. There are 350 employees producing leisure equipment in Rasdorf, partly by hand. Their products are used in the mountains of China, European amusement parks, American ski resorts and shopping malls, on numerous playgrounds, and even on cruise ships. Now the company has decided to automate certain manufacturing processes so they can react to customer requests better and faster.
“We were always satisfied with Bystronic press brakes and laser cutting, and the software was also impressive. So it was clear that we had to go with another Bystronic. Moreover, there was simply no alternative. We are particularly pleased to be able to receive the 300th machine of this kind!” - Hendrik Wiegand, CEO.
Bystronic thus recently delivered a Mobile Bending Cell with a ByBend Star 80 and a Mobile Bending Robot to Wiegand. And since for Bystronic it involves the 300th Mobile Bending Cell delivered since their launch, the machine was presented in a small ceremony, specially finished in Wiegand's colors.
