Bunting-Redditch has completed the manufacture and supply of three (3) magnetic separators and one (1) eddy current separator to recover metals in an overseas recycling plant designed and installed by CRS NI Ltd.

Efficient and proven methods of removing metal during plastics manufacture or recycling is showcased on Bunting’s ‘Protect, Prevent & Purify’ stand (H11) at the Interplas plastics exhibition (28th to 30th September, NEC, Birmingham, UK).

The design objective of creating a more compact and powerful electromagnetic Overband Magnet led the Bunting engineering team to develop the new ElectroMax-Plus.

A combination of an ElectroStatic Separator and a Metal Separation Module is enabling the recovery of fine copper and other metals from a waste product at a UK metal recycling company.

The largest Electro Overband Magnet ever built at the Bunting manufacturing plant in Redditch, UK is destined for installation in a gold mine in Northern Finland. Over a twelve-month operating period, the Overband Magnet will lift and separate damaging tramp metal from approximately 2.7 million tonnes of conveyed ore, protecting crushers, screens and other up-stream process plant.
