TRUMPF is opening up new areas of application with its 3D printers. "Falling component costs are increasingly bringing additive manufacturing (AM) on a par economically with conventional manufacturing. Our systems are ready for industrial series production," says Richard Bannmüller, President and CEO of TRUMPF Laser Technology Germany.

At this year’s EuroBLECH, TRUMPF is showcasing a new and versatile multigripper that delivers greater productivity for automated bending processes. The innovative vacuum gripper is fitted to the TRUMPF BendMaster robotic arm. Up to 12 grippers can be positioned in this way.

This year’s EuroBLECH will see TRUMPF launch a new and attractively priced machine for companies entering the metal-bending market. Featuring the new Right Angle (RA) control system, the TruBend 1000 is extremely easy to program and ships equipped with TRUMPF’s proven tech data for metal bending. Operation is similarly straightforward – thanks to the user-friendly interface.

Sustainability - yes, of course! But how do you implement it in everyday industrial life? With the support of TRUMPF, the Reutlingen-based company Rieber, has improved the material and energy efficiency in its production - for the sake of the environment.

TRUMPF and STOPA present new automated solution for transporting tubes directly from storage into laser tube-cutting machines. “Spatter Guard” simplifies task of keeping inside surfaces of tubes clean. Both solutions reduce non-productive time and increase the productivity of tube manufacturing.

New “nano joints” technology allows users to nest parts right next to each other on the sheet. Process is more reliable yet requires less time and material. Tiny size of break-off tabs generally eliminates need for finishing.

Traditionally, Smithstown offers a range of production methods, including milling, rotating, sanding and eroding. The aim was to expand the repertoire to include 3D printing and to set up an additive centre within a recently erected extension. By doing so, the company hopes to provide its medical technology customers with additive solutions, particularly within the R&D sector.

High-tech company TRUMPF will take the Blechexpo fair as an opportunity to unveil its “EdgeLine Bevel” solution, which automatically prepares parts for welding during the cutting process.
