New MPS series for payloads up to 80 kg

With the introduction of this new product series that can be individually adapted to any application, Stäubli now enables more productivity for robots of all manufacturers and for all payloads.

More flexibility and greater capacity utilization:
An automatic tool changer system significantly increases the productivity of a robot. As a global robot and coupling manufacturer, Stäubli has decades of experience with industrial requirements for robot production lines and already offers a comprehensive product range up to a robot payload of 1530 kg. Stäubli now presents five newly developed tool changer systems MPS 015, MPS 025, MPS 035, MPS 055 and MPS 080, which ideally complements the payload range up to 80 kg.

Modular product concept for individual adaptation to your requirements

Efficient solutions through a modular product concept
All Stäubli robot tool changer systems are based on a modular product concept. This results in three efficient solution paths to the ideal tool changer system: The designation MPS COMPLETE stands for pre-configured and immediately ready-to-use complete systems with the shortest delivery time. With MPS MODULAR, Stäubli offers individually assembled customer solutions that are immediately ready for use and can be delivered at short notice. MPS CUSTOMIZED systems are specifically adapted to the customers' application requirements.

Integrated functions and a diverse range of transmission modules
Feedthroughs for a pneumatic system or vacuum have already been integrated in the locking units of the new systems. For flexible functional expansion, numerous additional modules are available for the transmission of pneumatic systems and vacuums, signal and data transmission, or for shielding, grounding, tool coding, and data storage. The variety of possible technology combinations is thus almost infinite. High cost efficiency is achieved thanks to the placement flexibility.

Repeatability from the new MPS systems: ± 1.5 µm

Ideal use of robot power with maximum precision
For the connection between the robot side and the tool side of the MPS system, Stäubli combines cross-shaped guide surfaces with a spring-loaded ball lock. In this way, the systems achieve the highest precision over the entire product life. The tools are always moved back to their 100 percent exact usage position. The repeatability is ± 1.5 µm.

Simplest integration and immediately usable
As with the established Stäubli tool changer systems in the robot payload range up to 1530 kg, the new systems for payloads up to 80 kg are also attached directly without an adapter to the ISO standard flange of every robot produced worldwide.

Thanks to the modular build-up of the systems, the MPS robot tool changers from Stäubli can be adapted or expanded for new applications at any time.
