To detect problems in manufacturing quickly and guarantee quality, c-Com bundles all available data concerning the machine, tool and workpiece for analysis with artificial intelligence (AI). The new module Machining Analytics Solutions (MAS) supports the production process with a digital twin and is especially interesting for hobbing tools.

The Swiss milling and milling-turning centre manufacturer Reiden brought tool manufacturer MAPAL on board in order to meet a specific customer requirement. An actuating tool that meets high standards was required for the demanding internal machining of bores with variable shapes.

There are numerous applications waiting for new titanium machining tools from MAPAL. In medical technology, this workpiece material is used for implants because of its strength and compatibility with human tissue.

MAPAL has published new catalogues for the bore machining, milling and clamping areas. The product ranges’ assortments have been comprehensively revised and are now even more adapted to customer needs.

Philipp Raab and Marvin Schuster, both working as mechatronics technicians at MAPAL in Aalen, have accomplished a remarkable feat. The 19-year-olds were the youngest participants in the German “Robot Systems Integration” Championship. The organiser was the robot manufacturer Fanuc. The two MAPAL employees not only came out on top in the national vocational competition, they won it by a clear margin of 15 points over the runners-up in second and third place.
