CeramTec’s advanced ultrasonic sensors for flow metering are at the heart of the company’s presentation at this year's Enlit 2025. Enlit is a leading platform to connect experts and decision makers from the entire smart energy value chain. CeramSense® high-performance ultrasonic flow sensors enable precise and stable measurement results in domestic and industrial water meters, at scale.
In addition to the latest product innovation, CeramTec will also be showcasing its expanded piezoceramic portfolio including lead-free piezoceramic options. From 18 to 20 November 2025, the advanced ceramics manufacturer will be demonstrating the important role that ultrasonic technology and piezoceramic materials play in reliable sensing and measurement technology at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre in Hall 1 (Booth H24). Visitors to the trade fair will have the opportunity to explore new product developments and engage directly with CeramTec experts for piezoceramic and ultrasonic solutions.
CeramSense® flow sensors: reliable stability across flow and temperature ranges
One of CeramTec’s highlights at Enlit Europe will be the CeramSense® 2MHz water-coupled ultrasonic flow sensors. These completely assembled sensor components are developed for smart ultrasonic water meters in both domestic and industrial settings. They have been successfully tested using multiple accelerated lifetime tests according to high industry-standard test procedures.
The new sensors reflect CeramTec’s extensive expertise in highperformance ceramics and its advanced automation capabilities for application-driven sensor design. A key advantage lies in CeramTec’s full control over the entire manufacturing process – from powder and piezoceramic production to complete assembly and in-house performance testing – ensuring compliance with diverse market regulations.
High-performance piezoceramic components: long-lasting development expertise for individual industrial applications At three of their European production facilities – Lauf (Germany), Southampton and Ruabon (UK) – CeramTec designs, develops and manufactures individual piezoceramic components using an extensive range of advanced hard and soft piezoelectric materials. Thanks to proven expertise throughout the entire product development and manufacturing process, CeramTec delivers versatile piezoceramic components in a variety of shapes and designs for use in industrial applications such as ultrasound diagnostics, smart metering and leakage detection.
“Precision and reliability are essential pillars of measurement technology in industrial settings," says Charlie Dowling, Business Line Director Piezo & Sensors. “From single piezoceramic components to fully assembled sensor technology, our solutions deliver exceptional performance and accuracy for even the most demanding measurement and sensing applications. We always tailor our solutions to meet unique customer requirements. Visitors to our stand are invited to explore our latest advances, engage with our knowledgeable team and discover how our piezoceramic and ultrasonic solutions can contribute to their success.”
CeramTec will be showcasing its solutions for ultrasonic measurement technology and piezoceramics from 18 to 20 November 2025 at Enlit Europe 2025 (Booth H24 in Hall 1)), the trade fair for the European energy industry in Bilbao, Spain.
