The Basque Government Regional Minister for Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment visits Lantek’s headquarters in the Miñano Technology Park

Lantek, a multinational company focused on the development of industrial software solutions and the digital transformation of companies in the sheet metal sector, welcomed the Basque Government’s Regional Minister for Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment, Arantxa Tapia, and the Deputy Regional Minister for Industry, Javier Zarraonandia. for an official visit today at its facilities in the Miñano Technology Park (Alava).

The Lantek & Trumpf’s Management team together with the Minister of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque Government, Arantxa Tapia, the Deputy Minister of Industry, Javier Zarraonandia and Xabier Ortueta, General Manager of Cluster AFM.

Accompanied by Xabier Ortueta, General Manager of Clúster AFM, the Minister and Deputy Minister arrived at the Lantek headquarters in Miñano at 12:30 where they were received and welcomed by the CEO of the company, Alberto López de Biñaspre and Tom Schneider, General Manager of Machine Tool Development at TRUMPF, followed by a tour of the company’s facilities.

With this visit, the Basque Government’s Regional Minister for Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment learned first-hand about Lantek’s expansion and growth projections and its ongoing commitment to digital transformation and internationalization.

In March, the Basque technology company Lantek announced the partnership agreement reached with the German company TRUMPF, with the aim of consolidating the latter’s commitment to sheet metal cutting technology and manufacturer-independent software. Thanks to this agreement, Lantek’s customers will benefit from a close exchange in the key technologies of the future: Artificial Intelligence, Big Data models and integrated process control.

As López de Biñaspre pointed out during the visit, "This year we have been able to highlight our high level of internationalization and operational excellence as a provider of services and solutions. We are a mature multinational with a direct presence and our own offices in fourteen countries. These offices also provide us with an overall perspective and complete vision of the sector and the trends in different countries. As a result, this year we have reached the historic figure of 25,000 clients, all thanks to a team of 230 people working on a global scale who have made it possible for us to exceed 20 million in turnover".
