OKUMA PRESENTS THE FUTURE OF CNC MACHINING AT INTERTOOL

Okuma Austria GmbH was established at the beginning of the year following the acquisition of the precisa CNC-Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH. Previsously, the Austrian company was a sales partner of Okuma Europe GmbH for 35 years. Okuma Austria is now celebrating its first official appearance as a wholly owned subsidiary at Austria's largest manufacturing industry trade fair. The company will be presenting ground-breaking machines and solutions at the event under the banner of "The Future of CNC Machining".

High-precision milling with the GENOS M560V-5AX
The vertical 5-axis Machining Centre is characterised by exceptional performance and high profitability while maintaining a small footprint. Its robust double-column structure and full 5-axis simultaneous control make it ideal for the precise machining of a wide range of materials. The integrated Thermo-Friendly Concept also contributes to this. It ensures maximum accuracy by compensating for temperature changes. The machining centre also features a double-bearing rotary table and a highly efficient universal spindle that minimises vibration and power loss at the tool tip. Trade visitors to Intertool will be able to see for themselves the consistently excellent cutting precision on a sample workpiece. The GENOS M560V-5AX demonstrates its exceptional accuracy and versatility in the machining of a 300 mm diameter flower ball.

MULTUS B200II: Complete machining for different batch sizes
The MULTUS BII series machine combines the benefits of a lathe and a vertical machining centre. With a main spindle speed of 6,000 rpm and a tool capacity of up to 60, it is ideal for intricate high-speed machining in small to medium batch sizes. To ensure maximum process reliability, the multitasking machine comes with Okuma's Collision Avoidance System (CAS) as standard. This system detects impending collisions early on, automatically stops machining if necessary, and thus prevents damage to the machine and workpieces.

OSP control system to meet the most demanding production requirements
Okuma machines are equipped with a custom-designed CNC control system for ease of use and maximum productivity. Okuma's intelligent, user-friendly OSP control system enables even inexperienced operators to get the most out of the machines, while also contributing significantly to climate-friendly production. It also has specialised security features that reliably protect machine processes, programs and data from cyber attacks. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to test the ease of use and functionality of the OSP control system on two NC masters.
