OPEN MIND Technologies will present the latest innovations in its hyperMILL® CAD/CAM suite at MACH 2026, taking place April 20–24 at the NEC Birmingham (Hall 17, Stand 230). The showcase will focus on digital process chains, connected manufacturing, automation strategies, turning solutions, and hyperMILL® VIRTUAL Machining, supported by live demonstrations.
Integrated CAM and MES for connected manufacturing
A key highlight will be the integration of hyperMILL® with the Hummingbird MES platform, demonstrating seamless collaboration between CAM and production IT systems such as MES, PLM, and tool management environments.
The integration enables real-time access to production data across the organisation, improving transparency and responsiveness. Process changes, such as job completion, are instantly visible without manual refresh, supporting streamlined workflow coordination.
Hummingbird’s Kanban-based planning board provides process visibility, while the team board centralises communication and order tracking. The MES platform also includes a digital tool management suite, enabling efficient control of tool logistics and reducing downtime caused by missing or inconsistent data.
Digital tool management and process optimisation
OPEN MIND will demonstrate structured implementation of digital tool management in five steps, beginning with process analysis and data standardisation within hyperMILL®’s tool database. Standardised tooling data ensures reliable CAM programming, improved MES integration, and reduced warehousing inefficiencies.
The approach addresses common challenges such as tool search delays, overstocking, premature tool changes, and production interruptions caused by incomplete data.
hyperMILL® INTELLIGENCE: Automation meets AI
Making its MACH debut, hyperMILL® INTELLIGENCE introduces a hybrid framework combining rule-based automation and AI-driven optimisation.
Core capabilities include:
