Sandvik Coromant, has earned the 2022 NED Innovation Award for the Sandvik Coromant CoroPlus® Tool Path: OptiThreading product for the Machine Tools and Metalworking category.

The award celebrates the most revolutionary innovations in industrial technology, tools, and equipment.

The award is given to companies with the most innovative products that offer new capabilities and new levels of efficiency or harness the latest technologies to empower manufacturers to work faster, better, and more cost-effectively than ever before.

Winners will be announced in New Equipment Digest's November/ December Innovation Awards issue, which will be mailed on December 8th, 2022. Once the magazine has been published, there will be a large gallery announcement on New Equipment Digest's site on December 14th, 2022, including winners and finalists for each category. In that announcement, there will be a link to Sandvik Coromant product listing(s) on the NED Directory with an accompanying Award Winner badge.

Each year, New Equipment Digest (NED) invites companies to apply for the prestigious award. The evaluation and selection process includes an in-depth questionnaire and supporting statement that details the innovative product or solution. Selected by a panel of NED’s audience of professional manufacturing industry experts including plant managers, engineers, and industrial buyers, one winner from each of the following categories will be selected:

  • Controls & instrumentation
  • Electrical & electronics
  • Facility operations
  • Hydraulics & pneumatics
